View Article October 30, 2007 We are now offically a latex free office, due to the fact that many people have latex allergies our office has decided to no longer use any latex products. We will now use nitrile products that are hypoallergic. If you have any questions please feel free to ask Dr. Walker or the staff for any allergy concerns. April 30, 2007 Please call Dr Walker's office to verify that you may no longer need premedication for dental procedures. This is for patients that had been previously diagnosed with Mitral Valve Prolapse and other heart valve conditons. This also applies to some but not all prosthetic joint replacements as well. Commpassionate Care Clinic On July 30th several of the staff went to a new clinic in Milledgeville Georgia that serves medical and dental needs for people who have fallen on hard times. We spent the entire day doing dentistry on people who were in desperate need for dental work. Many of these people had not seen a dentist in years. We saw approximately 30 patients and performed everything from deep cleanings to fillings to extractions. This clinic is funded by the Georgia Department of Community Health Volunteer Provider Program and is called the Commpassionate Care Clinic. The clinic is a faith based clinic for those in need.
